Leeds is a horror-fantasy-thriller short film that I wrote, directed, and edited my sophomore year at Montclair State University (2015).
I have always been inspired by my home town and the environment I grew up in; the Pine Barrens.
I wanted to re-imagine the legend of the Jersey Devil as an environmentally conscious, dark psychological roller coaster with biblical allusions.
The story follows a conflicted young boy who is destined to continue the cycle of working on his family's lumber yard.
He finds himself tempted by the spirit of the pines and is confronted with a destiny-altering decision.
